Meredith Ellis Design is looking for an experienced Accountant:

Primary Responsibilities

• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
• Ensure timely bank payments.
• Track payments to internal and external stakeholders
• Monthly, Quarterly and Annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate
• Maintain fixed asset ledger by recording additions, depreciation, and dispositions.
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the annual audit requests.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Manage monthly and daily Accounts Payable tasks.
• Produce and send monthly client
• Produce monthly pro forma and update various financial analysis, including budget and forecast models.
• Proactively update the Closing Checklist for new, recurring items that need to be added to the checklist to facilitate a more efficient and effective close.
• Assist with reconciling monthly sales tax
• Monitor the Company’s bank accounts for transactions not recorded in the

general ledger.

• Assist with annual inventory count and other off cycle counts as
• Able to manage three separate EIN accounts

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Accounting a plus
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to problem
• Studio Designer and QBO experience required
• Microsoft Office – Use spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office products to extract data and manipulate into value-added information. Knowledge of pivot tables, lookup functions,
• Ability to learn new cloud-based software efficiently and thoroughly.
• Ability to communicate effectively to peers and others within the organization. Must have strong written communication skills.
