Job Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk works with the Accounting Department and works in a team with the Accountants and Director of Accounting. It is a full cycle Accounts Payable position processing a high-volume vendor invoices. This process includes invoice review, PO matching, GL coding, credit card statements reconciliation, weekly check runs, 1099 processing for two companies.
Goals of position:
- Ensure accurate invoice processing through verification of receipts and PO’s;
- Reconcile vendor ledgers against Vendor statements for accuracy of vendor balances;
- Accurate & timely posting of payables and maintain Vendor Files;
- Control expenses through analysis & verification of invoices and expense reports;
- Protect organization by keeping information confidential;
- Maintain strong vendor relationships through effective communication.
- Assist other areas in Accounting where needed.
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work closely with residents, their families and team members
- Maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Must be able to clearly and proficiently communicate with people of all ages and abilities and display consideration for their rights and sensitivities, while maintaining an energetic, positive attitude.
