A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
As an Engagement Specialist with our nonprofit, your role is to facilitate assigned tasks and projects while maximizing the skills, goals, engagement, and leadership of Clubhouse members. You work closely with members, coworkers, and the program director to develop long and short-term strategic plans, keep the work on task, and lead Clubhouse projects as needed.
Your social services efforts extend beyond our Clubhouse as you attend outside meetings, speak to various groups, and visit other clubhouses to increase Chelton Loft's visibility in the community and to learn from other clubhouse programs. As a participant in the Clubhouse's Transitional Employment Program, you're entrusted with developing and managing TE placements, creating relationships with employers, training and supporting members on the job, and providing TE job coverage whenever necessary.
Your contributions to our human services organization extend to general responsibilities, such as employment services and special occasion social activities. You are the one who advocates, directs, and models communication between members and service providers when needed. As a natural leader, you offer training and support to new staff, interns, members, and volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST

WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
This full-time human services position typically works 40 hours/week during Clubhouse hours. At times, over 40 hours/week may be needed as driven by operational needs.
