What We Accomplish Together

If you enjoy displaying your exceptional customer service skills while interacting with a wide variety of guests daily, the Concierge position is the job for you. The Concierge is charged with ensuring the highest quality experience for every guest visiting The Edgewater. This role facilitates the positive guest experience by delivering concierge-type service and by promoting all venues within The Edgewater - an urban resort. The Concierge acts with passion, drive and enthusiasm, and with close cooperation with Front Desk, Reservations, Valet, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Spa teams to help create a personalized and unparalleled experience for the guests of The Edgewater.

What You Have

• Must have a passion for delivering outstanding luxury service.
• Previous front desk experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to think creatively to solve problems and operational challenges.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• Familiarity with Opera PMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Welcome and assist all guests and visitors of The Edgewater
• Be knowledgeable about current property offerings and promote all food and beverage outlets and Spa facilities to all guests
• Liaise between operational departments for any special requests from and arrangements for guests
• Actively assist Front Desk and Valet teams when needed, including being proficient on reservation, check in/check out processes.
• Establish communication with important guests of The Edgewater pre-arrival, during their stay and after they depart
• Assist guests of The Edgewater with making reservations at the property restaurants and spa
• Be knowledgeable about Madison area for driving/walking directions and dining recommendations
• Act as the lobby ambassador at The Edgewater
• Assist in developing VIP program and provide on-going management and support of services.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

Working Conditions

This position operates in a professional office environment. The role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position requires weekend work.
