What We Accomplish Together

If you have strong supervisor skills and coordinating the Housekeeping Department is something that is exciting to you, the Housekeeping Supervisor position is the job for you. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a very important role in the overall functions of the Edgewater. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for directly supervising housekeeping staff, planning and coordinating projects, and administrative procedures - all while maintaining an energetic, professional, and welcoming demeanor. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be assisting the Executive Housekeeper in supervising the Housekeeping team, prepare room attendant boards, provide training and coaching to the team, inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness is up to our high standards, maintain linen and supplies inventories and respond to guest requests, concerns and questions. The Edgewater demands the highest quality of customer service, and the Housekeeping Supervisor position reflects that as you are often times meeting guests throughout the hotel. What You Have

• High School Diploma or GED; or six months related experience/training. Experience within a hospitality role is a plus.
• Combined 2 years previous hotel and/or housekeeping experience (Preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as room assignments, safety materials, operating manuals, and the ability to routinely write reports and correspondence.
• Excellent personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software, Opera PMS and HotSOS/Knowcross/similar (Preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management with both verbal and written communication skills.
• A caring, positive attitude with a genuine interest in ensuring our customers have memorable experiences.
• A team-oriented attitude and a detail-focused mind.
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
• A flexible schedule to accommodate our weekend and holiday availability.
• Fluent in Spanish (Preferred).

Working Conditions

This position operates in a professional hotel environment. The role uses standard housekeeping supplies such as cleaning products and tools, vacuums, mops, floor cleaning machines and supply carts. This role also uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position requires weekend work.
