Part Time/On Call Banquet Staff Positions Available!

We are looking for Friendly, Out-Going, and Professional Staff to Join Our Team!

Positions Include:

  • Banquet Bartender:  The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies, and collect money for drinks served.
  • Banquet Barback: The Barback will ensure all Beverages, Alcoholic / Non-Alcoholic items are properly stocked in all bar areas, and assist with all set up and break down of Bar duties and responsibilities.
  • Banquet Cook:  The Cook will prepare and cook food onsite according to restaurant recipes. The cook will ensure all items are cooked to the proper temperature and quality and served to restaurant patrons in a timely fashion. 
  • Banquet Server: Servers attend to diners in a restaurant during a meal, helping them place their order and making sure they get their food and beverages in a timely manner. They greet diners and engage in friendly conversation with them to cultivate a hospitable, welcoming environment. 

Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to

Bartender:

  • Receives orders from patrons and waitstaff. 
  • Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered. 
  • Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar. 
  • Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized. 
  • Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
  • Keeps bar supplied with snacks.
  • Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
  • Collects money from customers for drinks prepared and served.
  • Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive. 
  • Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.

Barback:

  • Removes used food and beverage items including, plates, plastic glasses and utensils from bar and dining areas as customers are finished using items.
  • Takes used food and beverage items to the proper areas in the back of the house so that they may be washed.
  • Consistently re stock all bar stations throughout the shift.
  • Maintains all bar stations cleaned and stocked with glassware, straws, fruit and garnishes.
  • Cleans and sanitizes various areas of the Bar using SANI buckets.
  • Maintain additional buss bins available in all service Bar stationed areas.
  • Install all garbage liners on all garbage cans consistently throughout the shift.
  • Washes equipment such as shakers, stirrers, dishes, utensils, and other pieces when required.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the Bar area.
  • Keep all emergency exits clear of any debris, including garbage, mop buckets, broom and dustpans and extra chairs.
  • Take down any garbage accumulated from the shift to the proper trash receptacle.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Cook:

  • Cleans, cuts, prepares and cooks meat, fish, or poultry to a safe temperature.
  • Prepares and cooks various items according to menus, special dietary or nutritional requirements, or numbers of portions to be served.
  • Bakes bread, rolls, and pastries.
  • Apportions and serves food to patients, patrons, customers, guests, employees, and students.
  • Washes cooking equipment such as pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other pieces.
  • Develops, compiles, and maintains food records regarding use and expenditures.
  • Inventories supplies and equipment.
  • Determines, or assists in determining, meals, menus, and prices.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and functional operation of galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas by routinely cleaning and inspecting each piece.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Server:

  • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
  • Attend to customers upon entrance.
  • Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages.
  • Take and serve orders.
  • Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products.
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.
  • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
  • Issue bills and accept payment.

Requirements

  • Proven restaurant serving experience
  • Hands-on experience in cashier duties
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.

Education and Experience:

  • High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics, such as food and beverage safety preferred.
  • One year of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
