The Door Store of America, Inc is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Raleigh, NC

DSA Doors, a premier wood door manufacturing company based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive support across various HR functions within the company. This role encompasses responsibilities in payroll, recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, and other administrative duties. The position requires the execution of complex tasks, necessitating independent judgment and coordination in multiple aspects of the human resource operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead recruitment and pre-employment activities, including resume review, phone screenings, interview scheduling, offer letter creation, initiation of drug/background checks, and assembling new hire packets.
  • Manage the bi-weekly payroll process, overseeing timecard management and attendance reporting.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for all new hires and facilitate the entire onboarding process.
  • Administer company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • communicate HR programs, services, and information effectively and positively.
  • Handle HR paperwork, including applications, new hire documentation, pay adjustments, data updates, terminations, and other confidential employee information.
  • Maintain employee files, including personnel records, benefit documentation, and staffing/recruiting files.
  • Collaborate with departments to promote safety initiatives and manage Workers' Compensation requirements.
  • Oversee leaves of absence management.
  • Provide support in various HR areas such as Learning and Development, Benefits, cultural initiatives, and events coordination.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of three years of HR experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience processing payroll and knowledge of regulations affecting payroll.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt positions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing/production environment

Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certificate
