Responsibilities:
-Assess individual needs of youth clients through interviews and consultations to develop personalized care plans
-Coordinate with schools, families, and other relevant stakeholders to implement support strategies that address the educational, social, and emotional needs of youth
- Provide direct care and support to female youth ages 11-21. These youth come from dependency/neglect, foster care, and/or delinquency backgrounds.
- Monitor and document the progress of youth clients in achieving their goals, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that respects youth rights and promotes independence
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and other professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document youth progress, behaviors, and incidents according to established protocols
Qualifications:
- REQUIRED: MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE, HOLD A BACHELORS DEGREE IN ANY HUMAN SERVICES, ONE YEAR OF RELATED EXPIRENCE
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or related conditions preferred. Strong interest of girls with foster care.
- Ability to lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Must be able to maintain good boundaries with youth
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and ability to follow medication protocols
- Understanding of behavior management techniques and ability to implement strategies effectively
