DIESEL MECHANIC (Northlake) JOB POSTING TEMPLATE

***Salary range $22.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience***

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform preventative maintenance on all heavy machinery including diesel engines, tractors, trailers, and other equipment in an expedited manner
- Repair and maintain tractors through preventative and proactive assessments
- Perform basic troubleshooting with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Repairs to equipment from minor accidents
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, checking batteries, and lubricating all equipment
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation on all repairs
- Follow all shop safety protocols and follow instructions
- Work independently however communicate when assistance is required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
- 18 years of age
- 1 year of forklift maintenance and/or training and educational equivalent
- ASE certification is preferred but not required
- Owns a basic set of tools
- Willingness to work outdoors or in the elements
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Read documentation and communicate in English
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
