Full job description
Responsibilities primarily include accounts payable and administrative records; assisting in the service of customer inquiries and performing general office assistance as appropriate and needed. Specific services provided can vary and are dependent upon the needs of the location
Essential Job Duties:
· Receive, match, verify, and process accounts payable for proper entry. May assist with cash collection and proper posting of customer accounts receivables.
· Must assist with answering the phones, taking customer orders to enter in system.
· Occasional assist with the check-in of Route Drivers to verify receipt of signed invoices and proper payment of C.O.D. invoices.
· Research items returned for credit by customers. Handle customer requests for invoice copies.
· Ensure proper filing of invoices and administrative paperwork daily.
· Set up new accounts, verifying client data and proper billing information, including resale tax information.
· In coordination with Human Resources, may assist at the location level with general HR-related inquiries, such as benefits, payroll, workers comp claims, FMLA, etc.
· May manage general services, including purchasing of office supplies, mail distribution, office equipment maintenance and repair, facility-related issues.
· May provide data and information reporting to management.
· Assume other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
· High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
· 2 years of experience in accounting related field.
· Have prior general office experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Must demonstrate good interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
· Demonstrate basic understanding of bookkeeping.
· Must be able to work in cooperation with others.
· Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Office environment, requires walking, standing, or sitting for several hours at time.
Perform repetitive motion tasks on computer.
