Who are we?

Parents, students and teachers call Pressman Academy their second home, and we are proud to be a school that invests in providing teachers with a great place to work. Our outstanding academic program, from which students graduate ready to succeed in a variety of high school settings, prioritizes differentiation and student-centered instructional methods; teachers enjoy both the structure and support to implement a research-based curriculum as well as the flexibility to bring in their own creativity and passion. Our program invests equally in children’s social/emotional development and academic development, which is one of the reasons we are known for being a school that graduates mensches. Teachers are deeply invested in creating and maintaining this high-quality environment, and they receive considerable support to do so, including mentorship, professional collaboration, and free lunches three times per week. 

Who are You?

You are a child-centered, warm, intellectually curious, energetic educator who is able to build meaningful and collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You are self-reflective and enjoy thinking about how to better serve your students and families. You have experience as the chief responsible party for implementing and assessing reading, writing, and social studies curricula in an elementary school setting for at least two years. And finally, you are someone who is looking for a professional community in which to invest your time and your talents.

This position will earn an annual salary of $65,000 - $87,000. The specific salary from this wide range will be determined based on years of experience and level of education using our school’s salary band criteria.
