The College of Health Care Professions is Hiring a MEDICAL ASSISTANT ASSOCIATE PROGRAM DIRECTOR Near Fort Worth, TX

 
 

Summary: 

The Associate MA Program Director is responsible for supporting the MA Program Director and leveraging their expertise to develop, maintain, and deliver education services to students thru creating and maintaining core curriculum, ensuring delivery of core curriculum, preparing course plans and material, supervising staff and oversight of the MA Program. The Associate MA Program Director will monitor and manage student progress and attendance, student advising, and grade reporting. The Associate MA Program Director will also ensure continued compliance with Federal, State, and Institutional accreditation agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise instructional staff 
  • Assist with advisory committee activities for program. 
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. 
  • Assist with instructor performance and student engagement 
  • Assist with screening instructional applicants 
  • Review curriculum and textbooks with instructors, program managers, advisory board, and Directors of Education 
  • Review student evaluations of instructors and programs, externship evaluations, employer surveys, and graduate surveys with the MA Program Director. 
  • Review completion and placement rates with the MA Program Director 
  • Assist in development and scheduling of in-service training as needed 
  • Assist MA Program Director in maintaining employee and student records. 
  • Monitor TWC, federal and accrediting standards compliance. 
  • Adhere to academic policies/procedures for compliance. 
  • Assist with new program development.  Assist with student advising. 
  • Assist MA Program Director with administrative and clinical functions. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Instructor: 

  • instruct classes using a variety of teaching strategies 
  • Monitor attendance of students and perform outreach and retention activities
  • Manage classroom to provide an optimal learning environment 
  • Provide tutoring to students needing additional help 
  • Follow syllabi to maintain a pace that meets instructional requirements 
  • Prepare lecture and supplemental instructional resources as needed 
  • Grade student deliverables in a timely fashion with appropriate feedback 
  • Periodically evaluate students to assess retention of course material 
  • Advise students with regard to academic progress 
  • Evaluate and ensure students meet program competencies 
  • Be punctual and reliable 
  • Ensure adherence to school schedule 
  • Immediately notify Directors of Education and MA Program Director of all incidents that may threaten the security of students

Education/Experience: 

  • Associates degree with a minimum of three years relative experience in their field. 
  • Current Medical Assisting Certification CPR Certification 
  • Three years of direct patient care experience
