Overview: The Christian School at Castle Hills is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as our school Nurse. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff in alignment with our Christian values and principles.

Responsibilities:

• Healthcare Management: Provide primary healthcare services to students, faculty, and staff, including assessment, treatment, and referral of health concerns.
• Health Education: Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and overall well-being.
• Health Promotion: Collaborate with teachers and administrators to create a healthy school environment through initiatives such as immunization campaigns, health screenings, and wellness activities.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond effectively to medical emergencies on campus, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Medication Management: Administer medication to students as prescribed, following established protocols and obtaining necessary parental consent.
• Collaboration: Work closely with parents, healthcare providers, and community resources to support the health needs of individual students and the school community as a whole.
• Spiritual Support: Offer emotional and spiritual support to students and families facing health challenges, integrating Christian principles of compassion and empathy into care.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about current trends and best practices in school nursing through continued education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required
• Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality
• Alignment with the Christian faith and willingness to integrate faith principles into nursing practice
