Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Sales Representative to join our WinStar Sales team located at the WinStar World Casino and Resort.

Summary:

Manages and solicits sales accounts for WinStar World Casino & Resort. Works to attract and book meetings, weddings, holiday parties, and other events by individuals and groups, including hotel or resort dining rooms, golf events, bussing or transportation needs, banquet rooms, restaurants, and hotel rooms to event attendees. Determines each account’s needs and how best to sell to those needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Maximizes revenue by selling all facets of the hotel/convention center, both orally and in written form to previous, current, and potential clients
  • Prospects and develops new business, including cold-calling; scheduling client introductions and meetings; and preparing presentations, proposals, and bid specifications to strategically win new business
  • Informs management by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and yearly sales reports
  • Develops, implements, and constantly modifies sales action plan
  • Makes appropriate number of outside, inside, and cold calls on qualified accounts each month
  • Conducts competitive analysis to compete successfully
  • Handles phone inquiries and call returns in the timeliest manner possible
  • Assists Sales Coordinator with contracts, proposals, banquet event orders, event itineraries and expedites all customer information requests in the timeliest manner possible
  • Demonstrates complete product knowledge of the resort to always give the best and correct impression to all potential customers and guests
  • Maintains proper reporting procedures on all sales calls, such as account history, files, account qualifications, sales solicitations and weekly sales reports to Sales Manager
  • Coordinates with the Sales Manager on contracts and negotiates appropriate fees for vendors and personnel for each event
  • Negotiates all aspects of the sales contract to include: attrition and cancelation clauses, room rate, length of stay, space rental (if any) etc.
  • Represents resort at trade shows, networking events and sales blitzes
  • Maintains invoices, travel and expense reports
  • Creates multiple periodic sales revenue reports through various reporting systems
  • Assists with data entry and/or lead reporting efforts
  • Maintains spreadsheets and databases and inputs data entry
  • Develops metrics and processes to measure event and group sales success and proactively provides analysis and recommendation to management for continual program improvement
  • Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation processes
  • Creates/maintains best practices and standardized templates for budgets, project plan, event timelines, sales presentations, and more
  • Resolves complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management
  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
  • Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
  • Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made

  • Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
