Hybrid Role (Partially Onsite-Partially Remote): We are currently seeking a Full-Time Health Information Technology Officer to join our Epic Department at the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health. Hybrid office locations in Ada, OK and Plano, TX.

Summary:

Supervises the Health Information Technology (HIT) used by the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health (CNDH) and affiliates. The Health IT Officer must have an in-depth knowledge of the current and up-and-coming trends in the IT field. Must be highly analytical and professional and possess excellent organizational skills. They will help store, evaluate, and apply data strategies to the CNDH's daily operations and improve Health IT development. The Health Information Technology Officer will work with the Executive Leadership to establish business objectives and determine the technologies needed to achieve them. They must have an innovative mindset that enables them to develop unique solutions to healthcare operations using IT software. Must be experienced in the full implementation of an enterprise-wide EHR.

Responsibilities:
* Oversees the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
* Researches new technology and recommends to leadership anything that would improve operations
* Designs and implements processes to make the collection and sharing of data efficient while maintaining a high level of security
* Leads digital transformation and efforts that result in broad organizational change
* Leads and assists in developing project business cases and requests for proposals/information (RFP/RFI)
* Leads efforts to define requirements, deliverables, objectives, resources, and project schedules
* Ensures appropriate processes are identified and followed, specifically scope management, change management, communications, and risk management
* Ensures all stakeholders are well informed and knowledgeable of critical issues, risks and resource requirements, budget and cost factors, and technical challenges
* Demonstrates leadership by identifying and mitigating tasks, conflict, and communication
* Escalates issues and risks to executive leadership to ensure proper awareness and efficient resolution to sustain the project implementation timeline
* Assists with creating, modifying, and enhancing enterprise project management, standards, processes, and policies
* Effectively manages Health IT-related projects to successful completion in a matrix project management organization serving critical healthcare operations
* Maintains project management documentation to standards and presents findings to stakeholders, typically based on Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology
* Successful planning and execution of a multi-year, multi-facility, enterprise-wide clinical and revenue cycle systems implementation
* Maintains the scope and work plan and ensures all milestones and deliverables are on time and within budget
* Communicates project strategies, high-level deliverables, plans, and schedules
* Ensures all outcomes and deliverables meet organizational goals, objectives, and quality standards
* Definition, adoption, and consistent execution of system requirements, communication, change management, issues management, and post-implementation support
* Communicates with project leadership, clinicians, revenue cycle, and technical staff
* Functions as an advocate and change agent and is a positive role model for encouraging others to embrace operational changes and transformation associated with projects
* Develops, implements, and updates policies and procedures and maintains compliance
* Remains updated on IT trends and emerging technologies
* All other duties as assigned

* Demonstrates advanced knowledge of operating systems and software environments to lead IT staff in creating effective test and production environments, recommend possible solutions, and discover problems
* Demonstrated success in program management in the complete life cycle, enterprise-wide, implementation of both clinical and revenue cycle applications in both the acute care and ambulatory environments
* Understanding of health care industry service delivery processes, preferably in a multi-facility health system
* Knowledge of enterprise-wide healthcare applications
* Knowledge of process improvement methods
* Knowledge of Epic electronic health record system
* Leadership focus including team building, collaboration, and interdepartmental coordination
* Communicates verbally with team, departments, guests and management

* Masters Degree in directly related field

* Master's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, or a related field is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $193,087.00 - $245,661.00 per year
