Description

General Definition: The Maintenance Planner improves work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials and equipment access.

Essential Job Functions:

    • Plan activities which focus on long-range goals and involves the regular analysis of backlog relative to available resources.
    • Plan for short-range activities which includes creating detailed job planning by doing research, scoping of work, and estimating needed resources both material and labor, developing task instructions and identifying tool and equipment requirements in order to ensure that all resources are available for planned maintenance activities.
    • Develop preventative maintenance and standard job plans.
    • Coordinate maintenance jobs and develop project plans for scheduled maintenance activities including creating work orders, as well as creating and adjusting the long-range weekly maintenance schedule.
    • Create purchase requisitions and pick tickets for planned work through use of the Stream It system to ensure proper procurement and payment.
    • Ensure appropriate inventory is available for planned maintenance activities including accurate parts list for all assets.
    • Coordinate with operations, procurement, construction, and maintenance employees to ensure proper execution of planned maintenance activities through use of project plans and scheduled meetings.
    • Coordinate shutdown of services on gaming floor to ensure proper security of area and completion of task.
    • Develop and maintain planner reference system including a file of planned job packages for recurring jobs, plus labor and material libraries for each piece of equipment.
    • Maintain essential records and files from which management reports are prepared and distributed.
    • Participate in budgetary preparation, tracking, and analysis.
    • Analyze cost and maintenance trends and make recommendations for continual improvement.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Education:
    Some college, technical or vocational school strongly preferred. High School Diploma / GED required.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Must be self-motivated with a high attention to detail without constant oversight.
    • Must be professional and able to communicate and work well with others.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time; requires mobility; requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; requires normal vision and hearing range.
    • Must be able to work various hours as needed including, weekends and holidays.
    • Must be proficient in the use of the MicroSoft Office Suite of products to include Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook. Assessment will be administered.
    • Must possess advanced knowledge of maintenance materials requirements processes.
    • Must be able to type fifty (50) words per minute.
    • Must be able to work on computer for at least two (2) continuous hours at a time.
    • Excellent organizational skills a must. Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
    • Good working knowledge of maintenance procedures to include timing, manpower, etc.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interface with and influence associates at diverse levels with different backgrounds and perspectives
    • Must be able to understand oral and written instructions and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
    • Must possess above average grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
    • Must have basic reading.
    • Must possess intermediate level math skills in order to effective perform functions of the role including reporting and analysis functions.
    • Must be proficient in the use of office equipment which will be used in the performance of the role.
    • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with all levels within the organization
    • Must be team oriented.
    Training and Experience:
    • Previous construction or maintenance project planing experience preferred.
    • (1) One year Previous Facility Maintenance experience Preferred.
    Licenses/Certifications/Other:
    • Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
    • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
