Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Blackjack Manager to join our Riverstar Team!

Summary:


Responsibilities:

  • Maintains files, logs, and records
  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information
  • Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development
  • Maintain knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • Prepares weekly reports
  • Mentors, coaches, develops and assists in training in assigned area
  • Assigns, reviews, monitors and ensures performance of assigned staff for area of responsibility
  • Participates in candidate selection process
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities of assigned staff
  • Reviews and documents work effectiveness of assigned staff
  • Coaches and corrects assigned staff through performance deficiencies
  • Observes and documents work behaviors of assigned staff
  • Ensures cooperative and respectful work relationship of assigned staff including interpersonal training and resolving internal issues
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines for assigned work area
  • May be required to act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the manager to ensure all operational standards are maintained
  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

  • Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • Routes, logs, prepares and/or distributes incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information
  • Serves as a liaison between third party vendor and internal management
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • Coordinates Individual Development Plan (IDP) program for facility. Works with leadership on disseminating information of the IDP program offerings and requirements.
  • Plans staff to meet operational needs
  • Assists senior facility management with managing assigned budgets - preparation, forecasts, expense management, approvals, communications, reporting, etc.
  • Reviews and approves all shift paperwork completed by shift supervisors, to include table count sheets, tournament paperwork, rotation sheets, management reports, staffing and employee information about the shift
  • Drives revenues by creating and implementing Blackjack promotions in partnership with Card Games Manager using trends and industry data
  • Manages operating costs by identifying needs, comparing trends to current needs and controls labor costs by providing accurate schedules and monitoring overtime
  • Mentors, coaches, develops and assists in training in assigned area
  • Assigns, reviews, monitors and ensures performance of assigned staff for area of responsibility

  • Oversees job functions, development and job performance, including but not limited to, annual evaluations, employee development and performance management
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • 5 years directly related management experience
  • 3 years directly related experience

Education:

Essential:
  • High School, GED or Equivalent
Nonessential:
  • Bachelor's Degree in directly related field

  • Pass gaming background check
  • Participation in Fast Track Leadership Training program
  • So You Want to Be a Supervisor training
