The Employee Assistance Counselor will work directly with employees understanding challenges and barriers; provide post crisis support; lead resiliency groups; offer individual counseling and support to employees with diverse backgrounds.Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide crisis stress support to all employees and lead the team in post-crisis debriefings.Counsel employees while providing helpful strategies for understanding and healing.Create an open and inviting environment, reflecting diverse life experiences, free of judgment.Develops workshops on wellness, positive coping skills, and resiliency for employees.Collaborate with the leadership team to create groups and opportunities for employees to maintain workplace resilience and increase mental and emotional fitness.Assess employee morale and give recommendations to leadership to improve morale.Job QualificationsMaster of Divinity from an accredited seminary or universityExperience in direct ministry and/or counseling.Demonstrated organizational skills.Experience working in a clinical setting with those experiencing illness, trauma, and disability.Ability to respect and embrace the unique perspectives and experiences of others. Core CompetenciesCommunication: Expresses thoughts clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing.
