Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Catering Supervisor/Banquet Captain to oversee our off premise catered events and ensure exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, leadership, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise all aspects of banquet functions, including set-up, service, and breakdown
- Manage banquet staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure proper execution of food and beverage service in accordance with event requirements
- Maintain inventory control for banquet supplies and equipment
- Conduct pre-event meetings with staff to review details of upcoming events
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation in banquet areas
-Drive company vehicles
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a banquet or hotel setting preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of kitchen management practices
- Ability to conduct interviews and train new staff members
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus
