Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet events, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service. This is a key leadership role within our hospitality team.

Duties:

- Coordinate and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff

- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table arrangements, decorations, and audiovisual equipment

- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests during events

- Monitor event progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction

- Maintain inventory control of banquet supplies and equipment

- Collaborate with culinary team to ensure efficient food production and presentation

- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner

- Train and mentor new banquet staff members

- Conduct interviews for potential banquet staff candidates

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of catering operations and banquet service standards

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Proficient in inventory control techniques

- Familiarity with hospitality management software systems (e.g., POS)

- Bartending experience is preferred

- Culinary background is a plus

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calmness and professionalism

- Exceptional customer service skills
