The California State University is Hiring a Parking Operations Manager (Administrator I) Near Sonoma, CA

Job Summary

Reporting to and under general direction of the Managing Director of Entrepreneurial Activities Operations and Administration, and working collaboratively with other members of the campus leadership team, the Parking Operations Manager manages and supervises all Transportation and Parking Services department activities related to the issuance of parking citations, traffic control, Parking Information Booth operations, and special event parking services, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, scheduling and supervising field operations personnel; managing event set up; overseeing cash collection; traffic control services and customer service in the Transportation and Parking Services Office.

Key Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a related field including customer service, event coordination, parking or traffic control, and parking enforcement, along with a minimum of one to two years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Supervisory experience in a higher education environment is preferred. A working knowledge of parking industry technology and enforcement practices is highly preferred. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Google Suite required. Knowledge of and PeopleSoft preferred. The incumbent must possess and/or obtain and thereafter maintain a California Driver’s License valid for the operation of any vehicle or equipment required to maintain and operate.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $3,750 to $6,000 a month. This position is a member of the Management Personnel Plan and serves at the pleasure of the President.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year. Sonoma State University is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Employer.
