This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests.As a member of the Sales team, this role will be responsible for prospecting, negotiating and booking group room nights (set at a specific goal) to meet and exceed occupancy, average rate goals and achieve booking pace goals. Maintain relationships with existing accounts to ensure repeat bookings and referrals. Learn more about The Broadmoor here.What you will be doing:Responsible for increasing opportunity to book maximum number of room nights and room revenue in the Incentive House and Insurance markets.Increase hotel’s ability to maximize occupancy and average daily rate.Develop relationships with major Incentive Houses (as assigned) and prospect for new business.Develop relationships with active Insurance business and prospect for new business.Conduct site tours and familiarization trips.Establish good working relationships with other departments.Ensure continuity of flow for clients and work with Conferences for a seamless transition post booking and throughout the event.Book businesses with best possible ADR and Banquet F&B to achieve budget & pace.Travel required to attend industry functions (including FICP, IRF and SITE) and trade shows to develop new business contacts and sales leads.Develop and maintain effective relationships with ALHI and Preferred with a focus on developing new contacts and new accounts.Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentUphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesOther duties as assignedThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Sales experience in Insurance and Incentive markets preferred.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Accounting software, Payroll systems, Development software, Internet software, Database software, and Contact Management systems.This position will share the management of one Sales Assistant. They will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
