Our large transportation client is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong geographical knowledge of the United States and the ability to quickly problem solve. This is an ongoing role and an excellent opportunity for our candidate to gain a solid experience with an industry leader!

Job Responsibilities:

• Answering high volumes of calls.
• Liaise with various levels of staff and leadership within the organization.
• Dispatching drivers and relaying information regarding pickups, deliveries and any route changes.
• Provide updates directly to management on a continuous basis to ensure optimal service levels to customers.
• Provide effective communication and upstanding customer service.
• Consult with management on any issues that may arise.
• Work with all levels of management and varying personalities.

Requirements:

• 1-2 Years previous experience in working with an asset-based transportation company.
• Previous experience with Oracle or a TMS (Transportation Management System), highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of freight and logistics, this includes Full Truckload and LTL (Less than Truckload) shipments.
• Ability to provide strong customer service while upholding company standards.
• Proficiency in using GIS, GPS and fleet management software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and answer high call volume on a ongoing basis.
• Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to pass a background check and Drug test.
