As an Intern, Data Analyst you will develop reporting and metrics that distill estimated prices against actual costs to develop a more accurate pricing model. Analysis of estimates of complex projects with lots of components and labor compared to actual costs with margin and overhead. Support to refine dashboard reporting of Account Team’s sales volumes and spend by client. The data analysis will include product pricing and margins for all client projects. The Data Analyst will recommend and implement reporting that our Account Team can utilize for more accurate pricing models. The work may also include data input on specific client projects that TBG is looking to automate in our storefront workflow. This position will also work to consolidate the Team supplier list, volume, and spend with key suppliers.

Shift available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (hybrid work environment between office and remote working locations)

Compensation: Hourly

A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you:

  • are a recent Graduate or Graduating in the Spring 24'
  • a Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, data analysis, statistics or related field
  • Python experience or similar data analysis development tools preferred
  • have advanced data analysis skills and data visualization experience preferred
  • have visual merchandising, production, marketing, or other related business experience preferred

On top of that you must:

  • obtain good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • have outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • have high attention to detail and accuracy
  • have the ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

In this position, you will:

  • deliver data and reporting solutions and services that support the Account team.
  • partner with internal stakeholders to recommend pricing updates that optimizes job margins with revenue, overall job counts, and maximizes an accurate pricing structure.
  • collaborate with Account Team leaders to conduct in-depth research to identify historic and new product pricing strategies and competitive pricing.
  • determine the most appropriate data collection and methodologies for evaluating pricing effectiveness and identification of recommended changes.
  • optimize the product and services pricing to support long-term growth plans and maintain a competitive edge in the visual merchandising industry.
  • collaborate with internal estimating and production teams to streamline how we price custom jobs and complex projects and reconcile estimates against actual invoices.
  • work with our internal data analysts to evaluate and implement data analysis tools, internal systems, and third-party software to automate and enhance data analysis.
  • complete miscellaneous projects as assigned by management
