CATERING BARTENDER JOB DESCRIPTION 

Reports directly to: Event Manager, Event Assistant Manager, Event Shift Manager.

Job Overview

Provide outstanding hospitality and attentive guest service with skill and a professional demeanor. Private events at Baileys’ Restaurants have a variety of different setups and service needs, so flexibility and preparedness is key. This position will work bartending shifts, but may also be asked to perform server/busser tasks, depending on the specific needs of a particular event.

General Responsibilities: 

• Maintains a professional and Guest First demeanor at all times. Welcomes all guests who enter the building with a smile, good eye contact, and a verbal greeting. Audibly thanks all guests who are leaving, using a smile and making eye contact. Hold doors for guests whenever possible.
• Thorough knowledge of drink recipes and preparations. Specialized knowledge of spirits, beer, wine and coffee. Assist servers and guests with beverage selection and pairing.
• Compliant with all required health department and safety certifications, including Hepatitis A vaccination and currently valid SMART certification
• Self-motivated worker with attention to detail naturally inclined to provide hospitality
• Thorough knowledge of menus, preparations, and practices of the catering department. 
• Be able to listen attentively and respond quickly to staff, peers, managers, and guests
