JOB SUMMARY

The individual in this role will be responsible for the success and profitability of the Parts Sales and

Service portion of the Aftermarket division through the implementation of sales strategies, and

management of the Parts and Service team.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing team of Aftermarket Parts Specialists and Service representatives

• Managing to division annual parts and service sales forecasts

• Stay on the cutting edge of market intelligence and emerging market trends to develop new

technical value-add solutions and identifying growth markets potential within Armor Metal Group

division products. Be appraised of competitor impact on Aftermarket products.

• Growth of service contracts division through obtaining new contracts and maintaining annual

renewal of current contracts.

• Prepare and present monthly reports on YTD Booking & Revenue status, market analysis,

competitor analysis, market trends, and strategic initiatives status updates.

• Measure and monitor profitability, on time delivery, and customer satisfaction for parts and

service orders.

• Development and management of recommended spare parts packages associated with product

BOM’s.

• Identifying new ways to package spare and replacement parts to maximize revenue potential.

• Work with IT to develop and roll out Ecommerce for standard spare parts.

• Establish part associations for offering to customers at point of sale. i.e. Recommend a motor

coupling when customers buy a pump. Work with IT to have associated parts linked within ERP

System.

• Work with Rebuild and Installation team by providing replacement part estimating support and

recommending spare parts during plant audits.

• Partner with Armor Aftermarket team in Thailand and Shanghai to create new opportunities and

growth for parts and service sales.

• Partner with engineering to make replacement parts unique to Armor Metal Group.

• Partner with purchasing to supply product with Armor Metal Group labels. Maximize warranty

coverage from supplier to Armor Metal Group.

• Develop relationships with key customers to stay appraised of parts and service opportunities.

• Travel to customer and supplier facilities promote Armor Metal Group parts and service

offerings.

• Develop, enforce, and continuously approve policies and procedures within the parts and

service department.

• Improve and standardize processes for Parts and Service department, including field service

inspection checklists.

• Improve process for managing and documenting work completed by service vendors and sub -

contractors.

• Additional items as assigned by manager.

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

This position primarily interacts with current and prospective Customers, Division President, Estimators,

Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid US issued driver’s license with a good driving record (2 points or less)

• Travel is characterized as being occasional (<20%), but will be as necessary to promote, develop,

and support order closing efforts

• Strong understanding of the division’s industry and Bid Spec markets

• Strong understanding of estimating process, must be able to validate and approve estimates

• Ability to read and interpret design blue prints

• Experience in developing and presenting solution designs as part of pre-sales activities.

• Ability to effectively communicate with others

• Strong Leadership, team building, and managerial skills

• A self-starting and highly motivated individual who wants to win in competitive situations

• Ability to use technology tools, such as Microsoft products and ERP effectively

• Must have strong time management and organizational skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Technical Bachelor’s degree preferred/equivalent relevant experience also acceptable.

• 7 years of management experience required

• 10 years of division related technical product knowledge (Industrial machinery, mobile

coaches).

• 5 years of technical sales support/customer service experience preferred.
