The Arc Westchester is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Coordinator (AR) Near Hawthorne, NY
The Arc Westchester, a leading non-for-profit social services organization in Westchester County, has a full-time position for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator in Hawthorne, NY. The position is in-office (not remote).
Responsibilities for AR Coordinator Include:
- Receive monthly attendance and enter invoices in general ledger for several programs
- Submit invoices for payment
- Receive and apply daily receipts
- Maintain audit workpapers in excel
- Run aging details and follow up on unpaid invoices
- Process Social Security payments for program participants; generate monthly allowance check requests; create room & board invoices
- Maintain schedule of each participant’s funds in excel file
- Process SNAP benefits
- Journal entries
- Prepare daily deposits of checks and record EFTs
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of related experience preferred
- Good attendance/ dependability
- Strong Excel and computer skills required
- General accounting/ bookkeeping knowledge required
- Ability to work under pressure/ multi-task
- Strong interpersonal/ communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must be a team player
