Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Department: Finance

Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the implementation of procurement activities across multiple categories of spending, while ensuring that goods and services flow continuously into the organization at lowest total cost of ownership. Engage in ethical and professional corporate procurement policies through vendor relations and contract management.
Reporting Relationship:
Work under the supervision of the AP Manager and in tandem with the Procurement Coordinator. Work closely with the accounts payable department to ensure proper flow of the procurement function.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field PLUS two years relevant experience, such as leadership roles in purchasing, contracts, negotiations and office workflow practices.
OR
High School Diploma PLUS six years of relevant experience, such as leadership roles in purchasing, contracts, negotiations and office workflow practices.
Essential Job Functions:
The ability to read, write, analyze, be perceptive/comprehensive, show good judgment, have good math &, decision making skills, independent action, planning & prioritizing and follow directions. Work independently as well as cooperatively with others. Be approachable, enthusiastic, personable, work under pressure and meet job-related deadlines accordingly.
The ability to communicate with individuals in a positive manner, demonstrate the ability to be a leader and serve as an appropriate role model to staff members. Receive supervision instruction in a positive manner. Adhere to and administer Agency’s policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
The ability to operate business equipment; telephones, fax machines, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, copiers, calculators, etc.
Agency Principles:
This position is NON -EXEMPT from the overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standard Act.

- Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure availability of materials for production
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company policies
- Conduct root cause analysis for any procurement-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management role
- Strong knowledge of category management principles and practices
- Familiarity with production planning processes and requirements
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
- Knowledge of quality management principles and practices
- Familiarity with contract management processes and legal requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
- Proficient in using procurement software systems and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Note: Experience in logistics and fabricate is a plus.
This position offers competitive pay based on experience.
