Job Summary
Texas Research Institute (TRI) Austin is a small business with a 35-year history in applied materials science research and development for government and private industry. The Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) division designs instrumentation, software analysis toolsets, and inspection techniques in the support of materials science-based research. Our firm seeks a mechanical engineering technician to support laboratory activities in a multi-disciplinary and intellectually stimulating environment.

The ability to acquire and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance is mandatory for this position. For additional information, see:

Funding for this position is provided by U.S. Government DoD contracts. Funding is expected to continue but is subject to change due to contract turnover and renewal.
Graduation from a post-secondary program with relevant experience or other related mechanical technology field is desired. An equivalent combination of work-related experience, training and education would be considered.
