Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
The Sr. Technician performs work with minimal supervision unless a major incident occurs in which the Reliability Tech will provide support. Works on advanced assignments that require considerable judgement and initiative. Must have advanced understanding of equipment / processes in assigned areas and reprioritize individual/group's goals to meet changing business needs.
Specific Job Duties:
Work on your feet for 12 hours a day Able to wear a respirator
Climbing ladders and working off scaffolding
Ability to work flexible hours as necessary.
Willing to work in a Level B Suit from time to time.
Responsible for constructing, assembling, repairing, and dismantling industrial machinery and equipment.
Heavy mechanical background, be familiar with setting, leveling, and aligning pumps, and fans.
Needs to be able to re-build centrifugal pumps (both end suction and split case), exhaust fans (both centers hung and over hung in-board and out-board bearings).
Vibration level 1 Certification a plus
Laser and/or Reverse Alignment a Plus
"B Shift" (Sunday-Tuesday and alternating Saturdays, Nights, 7pm-7am)
Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
•High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school certification preferred or equivalent
•Millwright and/or Industrial Mechanical Experience
•Typically requires 8 years of experience
•NCCER Certification would be a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools
•Potential to frequently work with and be exposed to materials which contain hazardous chemicals
•Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include weather, heat, and humidity
•May have to work in a clean room
•May have to position oneself in a tight fitting, FAB environment
•May be required to support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
