Texas Maintenance Development is Hiring an Operations Assistant Near Carrollton, TX

An Operations Assistant provides quality support to the department manager to ensure the company’s operations go smoothly. This individual will work as a deputy to the department manager in charge of Beverage & HVAC/R maintenance operations. They are responsible for carrying out different functions within the organization, mapping out plans that will be of benefit to the company and making sure that the plans are put into good use. It involves helping in the execution, documentation and invoicing of maintenance services offered by the company. An operations assistant manager oversees making sure that there is always smooth movement (delivery) of parts and maintenance services from the company to customers. The major role that this individual will play is that of helping the department manager in creating and managing the company’s work ticket schedule, allocating daily tasks to capable staff, and completing documentation for invoicing.

Texas Maintenance Development (TMD) is a 24-hour commercial and industrial maintenance company. The operations assistant will be essential to ensure the department tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner. This includes adhering to safety procedures, documenting thoroughly, and invoicing accurately.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the operations manager in the day to day running of the department
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines for Maintenance Technicians
  • Identify what is required for staff to carry out their duties
  • Schedule work tickets and ensure assignments are carried out as planned
  • Work with department director concerning work/operational issues and other activities
  • Draw up reports regarding operations and pass them to top management as needed,
  • May be responsible for preparing yearly budget for the department so that at the end of the year, performances(profits or losses) will be analyzed alongside the budget that was used
  • Observe company’s present operational goals and suggest ways of improving important areas
  • Maintain and organize company’s invoice information as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a guide to fresh employees so as to make sure that they adhere to company rules and that the result of their various tasks meet company standard
  • Do quarterly inventory for stockroom
  • Order parts
  • Prepare documents for meeting.
  • Check the fleet vehicles weekly (milage, cleanliness, stock, etc.)
  • Educate maintenance teams on company policies and excellent service standards.
  • Answer incoming calls and emails to the department as needed

Requirements and skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Highly skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or similar computer appreciations
  • 2 years experience in an administrative capacity
  • Formal education in any management or business related field
  • Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities
  • Good understanding of how an administrative setting operates
  • Portray good leadership abilities
  • Good communication skills on all fronts; good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work and deliver within limited time frame
  • Able to work as part of a team on a regular basis

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Schedule- 40 hour, 5 days:

· Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (typically)

· Late evenings or weekends (rarely)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
