Texas Family Fitness is Hiring a Vice President of Fitness Near Plano, TX

JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Fitness is responsible for ensuring all fitness systems in the gym create an unrivaled member and team-member environment that meets company and financial objectives. To target these goals, the VP of Fitness should direct and foster a unified, goal-oriented team that conveys company values and works commonly toward company goals.
Job Overview
· Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards and leading by example.
· Hires, trains, and develops a resolute team of Fitness Managers and All personal training positions inside of the individual clubs.
· Serves as the key point of accountability for gym personal training financial performance and the member’s gym experience. 
· Exemplifies team expectations by interacting with and observing members / team-members, investigating the details of member concerns, making recommendations, and displaying pro-active critical thinking skills. 
· Performs in accordance with a budget including monitoring income and expense levels and leads the effectuation of company policies for all personal training departments in the company. 
The Vice President of Fitness directly oversees the following positions inside the gym: 
· Fitness Managers 
· Personal Trainers
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Planning:
Participate with management and supply location specific input into the development of the gym operating plan. Set monthly revenue goals for team-members. Supply regular feedback to CEO and COO on gym goals and budgets. 
Staffing and Development:
Maintain an involved and dynamic team that promotes company values and goals. Supply consistent accountability for direct reports through training and coaching. Recognize superior performance and administer discipline when necessary.
Administer hiring / dismissal / discipline of all gym employees with support from Corporate Management.
Conduct weekly (or as-needed) gym meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer leadership, motivation, and guidance toward reaching personal and company goals.
Train and develop all gym staff on membership/fitness presentations, emphasizing the impact of these on membership retention.
Offer progressive coaching and guidance promoting long-term career growth opportunities to all direct reports. 
Supervise and coordinate regular training sessions of all staff ensuring gym employees are trained on company policies, including facility rules and operating procedures, loss prevention, employment, and human resources policies. 
Address all employee payroll issues within company parameters using appropriate resources.
Manage team-member relations by creating a team culture. Partner with corporate management, when necessary, in resolving conflicts among team-members within the gym.
Instill a sense of common accountability and teamwork across departmental functions to improve the member and team-member experience. Devise and conduct team building activities.
Fitness Management:
Establish a fun, safe, healthy, and community-focused culture that delivers extraordinary member satisfaction and fosters maximum profitability.
Ensure that all club members have access to a highly trained and professional staff that can supply training and programs within Texas Family Fitness standards. The Vice President of Fitness oversees the successful attainment of membership and fitness revenue goals. To achieve these goals the VP of Fitness will:
· Ensure all team members deliver high quality customer service to all of Texas Family Fitness members and clients.
· Help develop work schedules for all departments. 
· Supply member service and support related to membership/fitness issues. Help members and encourage their involvement in membership/fitness programs.
· Achieved monthly and yearly revenue goals set forth by the Company with regards to Personal Training revenue
· Train and develop the new Fitness Manager and any other positions that you can aid.
· Regularly train staff in industry updates to be continually successful to ensure all members and clients are taken care of in a professional manner.
Be a role model for member service behavior by walking through gym and gathering member feedback to find need for training and development for team-members. Resolve escalated member concerns; conduct on-the-spot ‘lessons learned’ to prevent them from recurring. Monitor gym appearance and cleanliness, ensuring exceptions to minimum company standards are resolved expeditiously.
Ensure safety of employees, members, and gym property.
Help new and old members alike on the floor.
Ensure the gym is neat, organized, and clean according to minimum company standards always.
Supply support and guidance for the Sales Department, Front Desk and Kids Club when needed.
All Club Departments payroll matters (i.e.: time and labor, completing membership and PT agreements and processing manual session transactions) must be addressed a minimum of every third day (or more often as necessary to meet demand) insuring no interruption in payroll processing. All must be completed by 11:00 p.m. on the last day of each pay period.
Always keep and display a professional demeanor. Uphold professional standards during all decision-making situations.
Execute other duties as assigned by CEO and/or corporate management.
While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and lifting situation of 50 pounds.
Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends and holidays as needed to support the business. The only holiday on which the gym is closed is Christmas Day.

Position Minimum Skills Requirements
2-3 years of progressively responsible management experience supervising 15-45 employees
3-5 years of broad retail/hospitality/service industry experience 
Experience managing P&L and trend reports or proved math analytical / ratio skills.
Knowledge of fitness industry
Exceptional leadership skills with proven team building experience.
High School Diploma or GED needed; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification needed.
Operations management experience preferred.
Travel: Must be able to travel by car up to 60% of the time
