MISSION: The Texas Education Agency (TEA) will improve outcomes for all public-school students in the state by providing leadership, guidance, and support to school systems.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Texas Education Agency is seeking a Data Analyst III to perform highly complex data analysis, data mining, data validation, planning assistance, and technical support to the Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting Division (FFCR). This position ensures the effectiveness of reporting and compliance efforts and is expected to help the FFCR division meet its performance goals and support the Texas Education Agency in fulfilling its strategic priorities.
Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned.
1. Coordinates FFCR compliance reviews - Coordinates FFCR compliance reviews including annual substitute time and effort review and real property federal survey.
2. Performs quality assurance on unit deliverables and identifies opportunities for improving business processes - Provides peer review and quality assurance on division projects and develops validation techniques that ensure that unit deliverables are published on-time, and error free; assists unit programmers in developing solutions for improving business processes by automating and improving system capabilities and workflows.
3. Assists with monthly FFATA reporting requirements and other ad-hoc reporting needs - Ensures that the agency remains compliant with Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reporting requirements and assists with monthly reporting activities as assigned.
