POSITION: Maintenance Worker
Reports to: Physical Plant Supervisor

FLSA Classification: Full Time / Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensures that campus facilities are kept in good repair and working order. Position reports to Physical Plant Supervisor and may supervise maintenance staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of general repairs, including at least one year's
experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair, and air conditioning; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
May be required to hold a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license or a commercial license.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Forty-hour work week, Monday through Friday. Be able to lift heavy loads. Be able to work in inclement weather. Must have own hand tools. Ability to work with high voltage. Exposure to environmental conditions, working in and outside of all buildings on campus. Exposure to noise, heat and cold, injuries and atmospheric exposures.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling/pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping/crouching, crawling, color determination, near acuity, speaking, and listening
General, verbal, and numerical intelligence; motor coordination, coordination of eyes, hands and feet. A high degree of concentration is required.
