We are looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team!

Performs various clinical duties such as vitals, getting lab results, greeting, scheduling, assisting physicians with patient care, uploading faxes, sharp with EMR and technology. Candidate should be detailed-oriented, good at teamwork, and have a genuine desire to assist patients. Customer service, detail oriented, and reliability and timeliness a must.

Duties:

• Hard worker and excellent customer service.
• Records height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, and pain assessment.
• Prepares patients for health care visit and enters assessment data into EMR correctly.
• Places patient in exam room for provider evaluation.
• Supports provider with patient care delivery.
• Assists providers during examination and treatment.
• Administers injections
• Uses aseptic techniques when preparing procedural set ups
• Provides drug samples as ordered by the treating provider and in accordance with state regulations.
• Calls in prescriptions as ordered by the physician.
• Educates patients as instructed by the physician.
• Ensures the exam rooms are clean and stocked; checks inventory.

Qualifications :

• Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited vocational institution or community college.
• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Minimum of one year recent experience working in a medical facility and as a medical assistant and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.
• Bilingual English and Spanish fluency necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

• Monday to Friday
