• Our partner is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist.*

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, but flexible.

$25 / hour

Primary Responsibilities : Perform duties to receive and post payments through accounts receivable processes, and support other revenue cycle management functions, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Specific Duties & Tasks :

• Receive, sort, and review payments from multiple sources. Identify appropriate receivables accounts for application and post receipts, through automated or manual processes.
• Validate posting results and reconcile payments posted against checks received.
• Scan checks to a bank account and reconcile deposit to checks.
• Organize and track workflow based on process steps. Provide status reports and shift work priorities and activities as requested to facilitate processing efficiency across the team.
• Provide support for other operations, as instructed.
• Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
• Participate in any variety of meetings and workgroups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications :
• High School Diploma and additional specialized training in basic accounting routines.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts receivable processes.
• Highly organized with the ability to consistently track and report on workflow status.
• Ownership orientation; works independently with minimal supervision, seeks to investigate and resolve problems independently, and requests supervisory input only in unusual cases.
• Clear operational understanding and attention to detail, with the ability to recognize issues and envision the impact of problems on other segments of the process, in a high-volume operation.
• Effective and timely communication with supervisor and other team members provide for early recognition and resolution of issues.
• High flexibility with the ability to easily shift between work assignments to accommodate workload and team efficiency.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel (Pivot / VLOOKUP)

Essential Job Functions :

• Conduct ongoing reviews of credit limits and engage in collection activities.
• Analyze problems and provide clear and concise resolutions that benefit all parties involved.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining professional processes and procedures to reconcile and understand customer non-payment issues.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with key internal and external customers to identify and understand non-payment issues.
