Job Description
Job Title: Title Clerk
Reports To: Assistant Office Manager or Office Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: This is a customer service based, entry level position that directly assists clients with tag and title needs. It also requires, but is not limited to, basic office duties, such as answering phones, filing, and scanning.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provides direct customer service.*
2. Provides telephone and/or email customer service.*
3. Completes MVA forms and title documents.*
4. Keeps office and paperwork organized.*
5. Stops, starts, and returns to interrupted tasks.*
6. Scans and files documents.*
7. Maintains inventory control.*
8. Prepares transactions for MVA Run.*
9. Contacts lenders and banking institutions to order client out-of-state titles.*
10. Reviews and corrects completed transations.*
11. Writes notes and maintains detailed communications with co-workers and management.*
12. Performs minor cleaning of office area and personal spaces.
13. Waters plants.
14. Takes trash out.
15. Checks through completed transactions and/or pending transaction files and contacts clients as reminder.
16. Runs local errands outside of the office.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one- on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word,
Google Docs, Paychex Time and Attendance, company email, MDSP Inspection program, NADA, Docuware, E-invoice system, and Dealertrack OLRS.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
Ability to pass MVA criminal background check
