Terranea Resort is Hiring a Revenue Analyst (Full Time) Near Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

Overview

The Revenue Analyst is integral to the success of the Hotel's Sales, Revenue, & Marketing strategy. The position will be responsible for the preparation & analysis of business intelligence reports that will assist the Director of Revenue in implementing the hotel’s sales strategies. In addition, this position’s responsibilities will include executing revenue strategies by maintaining and validating data, building rates and offers across all connected systems, producing reports, and conducting audits for revenue related areas. This position’s secondary job function will assist with analyzing and assisting with the communication of business intelligence data.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Rate, Promotion and Package loading in Opera PMS, SynXis Booking Engine, and other connected channels; and relevant distribution to operating departments
  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly revenue reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, rate audits, pace reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, revenue penetration index, KPI’s, etc.
  • Performs frequent uploads to database(s) & maintains data accuracy on daily and weekly basis pertaining to database and business need
  • Manage OTA, SynXis, and other connected channels to ensure rate parity, inventory availability, yield controls and content are accurate to current strategies
  • Perform audits and maintenance on all systems such as PMS, CRS, RMS, BI Systems to ensure content and information is correct
  • Performs competitive pricing checks, including packages and promotions
  • Conducts displacement analysis of group business as needed to determine the impact potential business will have on RevPAR and/or TrevPAR
  • Assist in analyzing reports such as, STR, CBRE, Travelclick, and other measurement tools and present revenue opportunities and aid in effectively pricing units
  • Maintains Group and Transient inventory controls
  • Review and update daily MAR rates as required under the guidance of the Director of Revenue and/or Director of Sales to ensure optimal use by sales team.
  • Assist in the implementation of all blackout dates and/or restricted dates and review frequently to determine if adjustments are needed
  • Review key reports (STR, TravelClick, OTA insights, Ideas G3, Datavision) to aid in effectively evaluating revenue strategies
  • Participate in group evaluation process to guide group inventory and rates based on key factors such as rooms/space ratio, pattern, ancillary contribution, etc. for the group sales team to utilize for a minimum period of twelve-eighteen months at all times.
  • Analyze past and present trends and makes recommendations for future strategies

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with revenue related function in absence of revenue leaders, as needed
  • Understand the resort’s defined competitive market and defined comp sets and their relevance to each hotel/resort based on current/future market conditions and industry changes and fluctuations.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Develop and maintain a positive rapport with all internal associates/managers
  • Special Projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate would also possess intermediate to advance knowledge of key sales and revenue systems (Opera PMS, Configuration, OXI, and Utilities, SynXis Booking Engine, Amadeus, Datavision, Ideas G3, Bookingpal, and other revenue management/sales related systems)
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skillset required
  • Possesses the ability to manage IT tickets, build rate codes, and produce validate reports
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Is proactive, a self-starter, who can work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in operations, sales, or revenue division of hospitality preferred
  • Experience in e-commerce discipline focus preferred

Experience, Education, & Licensure:

  • 2 years of on-property hotel operations experience or e-commerce discipline focus preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel

Compensation

Base Pay Start Rate: $28.00/Hr.
