Overview

To provide Spa Team Members of Terranea Resort & Spa with training as required through knowledge of skincare. In addition, position will assist with setting up treatment training for body treatments and product knowledge for all areas of the spa.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the attainment of Terranea specific and organizational goals through the creation, implementation and on-going development of the Spa’s treatment training program.
• Organize and present thorough and knowledgeable treatment training sessions to Terranea Team Members.
• Quantify success of Spa training program by establishing the highest degree of standards for treatment mastery and through specific measurement of team member comprehension.
• Demonstrates respect, sensitivity and concern for guest and team member needs in a professional manner.
• Maintains and monitors work schedules as booked in SpaSoft, exercising dependability, fairness and willingness to work with schedule flexibility.
• To assist the Spa management with staff development projects as required.
• Comprehends and supports Terranea’s policy and standard procedures.
• Practices universal health care protocol while dealing with guests and Team Members.
• Assisting with professional inventory.
• Facilitating consistency with the provider team, coaching and retraining the team when needed.
• Orientation of new providers.
• Managing the training calendar, assisting with managing the sign off process-times and models needed.
• Provide input regarding performance for Reviews of providers.
• Overseeing Equipment Inventory and Rooms Inventory.
• Administrative tasks as needed .

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

• Uphold company standards of conduct, grooming, dress, and personal hygiene.
• Comply with all safety and health requirements of Terranea, state, and federal regulations.
• Carry out all reasonable requests by management, which the employee is capable of performing.
• Performs daily routine set up and break down of massage & facial rooms; maintains neat and well-stocked room.
• Attends monthly departmental meetings and learning events as directed.
• Performs other job-related duties as directed.
• Adheres to Terranea’s standards of guest service.
• Assist with handling guest concerns or complaints, coach and counsel the therapist for future guest recovery situations

Qualifications

• Must hold a current California State Esthetician license
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must possess excellent guest service experience and decision-making capabilities.
• Must possess a cooperative and positive attitude, exercising reason.
• Must be dependable and flexible with schedule changes, cancellation and additions.
• Must be capable of organizing and scheduling personnel and tasks.
• Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
