Terraces of Lake Worth , a Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking an Activities Assistant - Part Time . This position requires a CNA license.

Position Description

The Activities Assistant is responsible for helping with physical, educational, or social activities in a variety of settings.

As an Activities Assistant, your duties revolve around assisting residents or patients with use of equipment, and planning and monitoring their participation in various activities.

Responsibilities of the Activities Assistant :

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the recreation programs of this Facility.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the recreation department.
• Oversee the residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental wellbeing of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents.
• Involve the residents and family in planning recreation programs, when possible.
• Coordinate activities with other departments, as necessary.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations;

maintaining licensure.

Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;

Arrange transportation for field trips when necessary.

Requirements of the Activities Assistant :

• Must maintain a satisfactory level of attendance and punctuality.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• CNA license
