Job Description: The Instructional Designer will be responsible for the design, development, deployment and assessment of learning and workforce development solutions in both clinical and non-clinical settings using pedagogically sound activities and assessment strategies. This role will act as an internal consultant by providing learning and development services to multiple business units. Essential Functions:
Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts (SME) to design/develop learner-centric solutions to be delivered through a variety of methods.
Leads needs assessment and learning strategy development for assigned curricular areas.
Build and socialize learning solution recommendations to achieve discipline-specific outcomes, identifying appropriate delivery methods and techniques to address learning and learner needs.
Partner with SMEs to translate written content and existing materials into visual descriptions (graphics, animations, interactive charts, graphs, and video-based scenarios) accurately.
Create high quality supporting materials including participant guides, leader guides, story boards, scripts, tutorials, digital interactives, assessments, simulations, audio and video that can be leveraged by the Educators or SMEs.
Performs all aspects of course design and development.
Responsible for end-to-end delivery of learning projects from initial needs analysis through post launch evaluations.
Apply current instructional design theories, practice, and methods to enhance the learning process and transfer of knowledge.
Continuously analyze content performance, learning experience and business needs for strategic improvements to ensure best-in-class curriculum and achieve learning outcomes.
Provides support with the development of organizational policies and procedures.
Attends professional development workshops and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge and to remain up to date on current trends with learning and development.
Promotes a healthy work environment by role modeling positive professional conduct and communication (written & verbal), serving as a mentor and constructively facilitating conflict resolution.
Acts as a positive change agent, advocates for evidence-based standards of practice.
Facilitate learning as needed.

Excellent organizational, writing, communication, and time management skills needed to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously
A strong understanding of adult learning principles and practices, such as ADDIE.
Knowledge of online instruction software delivery systems and emerging technologies
Skill in designing alternative format courses
Skill in applying software application development tools
Skill in producing, facilitating, and presenting instructional materials
Research and analytical abilities to determine professional development through surveys, one on one interactions, and other research methods.
Ability to track trends as they relate to future learning needs and opportunities.
A broad knowledge of educational providers and opportunities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Education or other relevant post graduate degree required.
5 years relevant experience in learning and development required.
3 years relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Experience with advanced data abstraction and analytics.
Experience using e-learning software, such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or other video editing tools
