Tennessee Board of Regents is Hiring a Career Exploration Lab Coordinator Near Memphis, TN

We have an opening for a Career Exploration Lab Coordinator at Southwest Tennessee Community College!The Career Exploration LabCoordinator is responsible for supporting students participating in MobileLearning Lab outreach events sponsored by Southwest Tennessee CommunityCollege. The coordinator acts as the Liaison for all issues related to the CareerExploration Lab. In addition to Lab duties, the coordinator will act as thepublic recruiter for the Career Exploration Lab at Southwest recruitment events, and supportlab training.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain scheduling for Career Exploration labs including support staff, locations for recruitment activities, and reporting activities.
  • Developand maintainstudentliaisonsupportforthe lab participants
  • Troubleshootstudentissuesandprovidemonitoring supportfor lab participants.
  • Develop and manageprojectsandresourcestosupportpromotionand recruitmentfor enrollmentatSouthwestTennesseeCommunityCollege.
  • Developandmaintainstrategiesforsupporting Career Exploration Labenrollments,and reporting progress data to other units in the college to promote student enrollment.
  • Serveastheinitialpointofcontactforall lab complaints.
  • Developplansto resolve issues and provide supporting documentation when complaints must be elevated.
  • ServeasthepublicrecruitmentliaisonfortheCareer ExplorationLabatallcollegesponsored recruitment events.
  • Assistwithgeneralstudentandfacultytechnicalsupport.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, and work characteristics:

  • StrongworkingknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeapplicationsincluding Word,Excel,and Access.
  • Projectmanagementskillsandtheabilitytosuccessfullymanagemultipleprojects and people at the same time.
  • Strongcustomer/clientsupportskillsthatcreateasupportiveenvironmentthatmeetsthe client at their point of need.
  • Ability to foster acooperativework environment.
  • Exhibitstrongemployeedevelopmentandperformancemanagement skills.
  • Activelistening,socialperceptiveness,serviceorientation,effectivecommunication,and excellent critical thinking skills are a must.
  • The ability to comprehend oral/verbal directives and instruction, the ability to express selfclearly,proactiveproblemsolving,inductivereasoning,andwritten comprehension is also required.
  • Knowledgeofgeneralofficeprocesses,greetingvisitors,maintaininginventories, copying, etc.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Maintainan established work schedule,including someeveningsandweekends for the coordinator position and Mobile learning lab support staff.
  • Createanenvironmentthatemphasizesefficiency,friendliness,andresponsivecustomer service to internal and external constituents.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent; plus, two years training in basic electronics or computer maintenance.
  • Associate'sdegreeinComputerTechnologyorarelateddisciplineispreferred.
  • Knowledgeofcurrentmicrocomputertechnologyandequipmentincluding.
  • Skillsinsolvingproblems excellently.
  • Skillsincommunicationandinterpersonal communication.
  • Abilitytorepair,maintain,andinstallmicrocomputer equipment.
  • Abilitytolift50pounds.
  • Conduct programming for learning models.
  • Demonstrated knowledgeof learning technologies.
  • Demonstratedproficiencywithcomputer skills,includingMicrosoftOfficeprograms.
  • Abackgroundcheckwillberequiredforthesuccessful candidate.
