About us
Tenacity Psychological Services is an outpatient mental health clinic and training program that specializes in the assessment and treatment of trauma and meeting the mental health needs of Chicago’s most marginalized and under served communities. Unlike many private practices that severely restrict those who can benefit from services by not accepting health insurance or only being in network with one payer, we follow the community mental health movement and model in striving to expand access to mental health services in our community. We are seeking mental health professionals who are systemically-minded and share our passion for providing care to BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S , and working class clients in our community along with training and supervision to the rising generation of therapists. Applicants should have previous relevant experience working with under served communities, using trauma-focused therapies and demonstrate a personal interest in utilizing psychology to promote healing and justice within our community. Although not required, Spanish speaking and otherwise multilingual therapists are strongly encouraged to apply..
Our work environment includes:
We provide our therapists with referrals from our well-established referral network and do not expect therapists to do their own advertising and drum up business for the practice. We offer competitive split fee compensation, office space, and BCBS PPO health and dental insurance (part-time granted as well). Full time expectations include: a minimum of 24 direct client hours per week and providing 2 hours of secondary supervision per week with our practicum students. Part time expectations include: a minimum of 12 direct client hours per week and providing one hour of secondary supervision.
Qualified candidates should provide their cv (with personal email address and best contact phone number on cv), cover letter and the names and phone numbers of three references to Dr. Brittney Coats at bcoatstenacitypsychology@gmail.com
