Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, providing counseling services, collaborating with educators and parents, and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, and social-emotional functioning
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with challenging behaviors
- Conduct research to stay updated on best practices in school psychology and contribute to evidence-based interventions
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed to support students in times of emotional distress or trauma
- Collaborate with community resources to provide additional support services for students and families
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
Experience:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience in conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing comprehensive evaluation reports
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools and assessment measures
- Strong skills in providing mental health counseling to children and families
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is preferred
- Knowledge of data collection methods for monitoring student progress
- Understanding of addiction counseling principles is a plus
