The Senior Solutions Engineer (SSE) is a level of technical contributor in the SALES organization above the solutions engineer at Telesign. As such it comes with an additional set of skills and requirements to hold the position. The role consists of all the qualifications specified by the Solutions Engineer (SE) and a variety of very specific additional high value qualifications that set this person aside as one of the most valuable resources in both the presales and post sales parts of the SALES. He/She has a high level of project and customer account management skill and track record.

This person has both a high level of technical skill that has been demonstrated in the field for a long period of time and within countless sales cycles as well as having the ability to architect multiproduct complex solutions that involve complexity and customizations. They also have a strong understanding of the sales process and all that it entails and are sensitive to those forces at work which ultimately may affect an opportunity more than the technology brought to bear therein. They have a deep 5 year plus track record in the industry and markets in which Telesign plays. They have a high technical position within their team and must have an awareness of all major operations, opportunities and engagements in their region.

The SSE holds all available and required Telesign technical and sales certifications and have attended all available Telesign trainings including, but not limited to, Franklin-Covey, LMS self-paced trainings, Presentation Skills training, Presales workshops,Telesign Certified Engineering training and etcetera. In addition to this he/she hold industry standard certifications focused on telecommunications, investigations, information governance and cyber security.

The SSE is a technical escalation point for his immediate team. He/She is also an escalation/decision point for many staff related issues, challenges and procedures that will directly assist the Head of Solutions Engineering.

He/She can take a complicated task - like a proof of concept - and manage it from start to finish and knows when to call in support from other Telesign staff for assistance.

The SSE often functions as a formal team lead (to be qualified for a Solutions Engineering Team Lead or SETL the staff member must be a SSE). If not the named SETL the SSE occupies a position of leadership - among the smaller teams within the SALES. For instance SSE will be highly respected amongst, for instance, the SSE primarily focused on advisory services partners or commercial accounts (which are "sub-teams" within the regional SALES).

The SSE assists directly with partner development from a technical perspective and may conduct custom trainings for partners and/or end user clients as well. In addition to training clients and partners a SSE will help train and onboard new hires to Telesign and gets them acquainted with the culture and requirements of their job.

A track record of achieving technical closure reliably is required. Meeting of revenue goals, key performance indicators KPIS and other professional goals and aspirations is hallmark of the SSE.

He knows his way around the Confluence and Jira systems and can track feature enhancement requests, defect/bug fixes and also communicates with Product Operations and Product Managers the needs of the team.

The SSE occasionally publishes Telesign blog entries, knowledge base articles or whitepapers and functions as an industry thought leader and participates in industry events often as a panelist or SME. He/She has the respect of the industry and has earned credibility in his areas of expertise. He/She often delivers company wide, regional webinars or panels/presents at marketing events.

A SSE understands the stack of Telesign products and where they fit, how to optimize them, manage their limitations and knows how to architect multiple product solutions for partners and customers. A SSE is often a contributor of 1 or more Telesign SWAT teams and knows well the Product Operation roadmap and statement of direction.

He/She reports to and works directly with the Head of Solutions Engineering every week planning strategy and conveying news and updates to and from the field. Additionally, the LEADERSHIP TEAM are aware of the SSE and his role and may occasionally call upon him for advice or guidance.

An SSE has a strategic awareness of the business and participates in strategic initiatives/projects with an understanding of the benefit to the business and him/herself.

We assess your specific job family, level, relevant skills, experience, location and other special trainings, experiences, or accomplishments you bring to the position. Pay decisions are also guided by our financial means as well as analyzed against what others earn internally. We strive to pay competitively and offer market differentiated benefits and perquisites in line with our compensation philosophy. Telesign’s good faith estimate for this position is $74,440 - $156,100 bonus benefits. This range is a reflection of many similar like positions and your actual compensation may not be at the high or low end of the range but will be based on your unique skills and other criteria mentioned.
