Job Description :

Is responsible for achievingdepartmental / area goals and objectives.

Supervises production maintenance and / orwarehouse employees in operations or processes requiringsemiskilled to unskilled employees to ensure that the goals of thedepartment and organization are achieved.

The supervisor is the first line liaisonbetween the production employees and the management staff and thusalso serves the function of representing the companys interestswith the shop floor staff.

Duties :

Supervises and leads the development andexecution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safetyquality schedule efficiency and continuous improvement.

Investigatesanalyzes and resolves various system part people or process issuesto correct deficiencies reduce costs improve processes / performance.

Administers employeepolicies practices procedures and work rules appropriate for theunit.

Monitorsindividual and line performance and takes corrective actionincluding discipline as needed and responds to complaints to insurethe Company and employees adheres to policies practices proceduresand work rules.

Works with Safety Team in meeting company standards andenforces safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries.

Plans formaintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime andutilization of capital equipment assets.

Manages and controls costs to stay within thedepartment operating budget targets.

Establishes employee environment regardingcommunications feedback and overall guidance.

Ensures that assigned personnelhave appropriate training work instruction and tools tosuccessfully do their job.

Directs departmental continuous improvement plans andactivities.

Specific Position Requirements

Could be slotted for a 3rd shift spot.

Could also betreated as our utility which would also have a heavy third shiftpresence with some time spent on other shifts determined on aweekly basis.

Musthave availability to work variable shifts.

If candidate is not available to workvariable shifts they will not be considered

Weekends will be required basedon a rotating schedule with other workers so as a result OT will berequired.

Candidatesmust be willing to work the offshift OT and some weekends to beconsidered.

Candidates are encouraged to have strong supervisoryexperience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

A 4year degree isstrongly preferred with 2 years of supervisory experience in amanufacturing environment but a minimum of a high schooldiploma / equivalent with supervisory experience in awarehouse / manufacturing environment is desired.

Candidates must also beproficient with computers including Excel and Outlook
