Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Position Summary: Lead the metal fabrication production operations and manage resources to ensure that plans are executed and adjusted as needed.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-10 years in production management in a Lean/Continuous Improvement environment
• Metal fabrication, metal works, and machining knowledge required.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite; Visual ERP software a plus
• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
• Deadline-driven and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work strategically as well as tactically
• Proven experience developing and mentoring direct reports
• Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.
• Professional and strong leadership skills

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Manage Team Leads and ensure their departments are adhering to production priorities.
• Manage team to ensure daily production requirements are achieved and labor scanning is accurate and complete.
• Analyze work methods, sequences, etc. identify opportunities for improvement. Use problem-solving skills to resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes
• Install and nurture a culture of continual improvement.
• Develop standard work, workforce planning, cross-training, and flexible scheduling solutions to meet customer demands.
• Coordinate with the assembly department to ensure that production order is aligned with requirements (right parts at the right time).
• Interface daily with Engineering, Production Planning (PDM), Purchasing, and Quality
• Ensure work is properly planned for 2nd shift and overtime to meet production plans.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $69,850.00 - $80,000.00 per year
