Production Assembler

Position Overview:

Performs Electro-mechanical assembly operations using hand and power tools, presses, annealing ovens, soldering stations, and other equipment to manufacture and assemble products. Direct report to Production Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Duties are not limited to the descriptions below & other duties may be assigned):

• Operates presses and bending machines to manufacture and assemble product

components.

• Inserts and removes metal components from heat-treating ovens.
• Uses laser marking equipment to label inserts and other products.
• Using tools including small hand and power tools to assemble products.3
• Mounts products in test equipment and performs quality tests on products.
• Assists with packaging and labeling of products in insert production area.
• Assemble various inserts and chassis assemblies per production sample, work instructions or verbal instructions, using various components such as bolts, clips, screws, cements, solder, tape, and wire.
• Using tools, solder station, de-solder station, heat gun, arbor press, wire cutter, and crimping machine to produce assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to follow work instructions to manufacture and test products.
• Basic math skills required.
• Specific vision abilities required – close vision.
• Long periods of sitting, use of hands (manual dexterity).
• Occasional exposure to nearby moving mechanical parts and extreme, non-weather-related heat.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness with the ability to apply feedback to improve performance.
• Must meet productivity standards ensuring quality of work and daily quotas in a timely manner.
• Strives to increase productivity.
• Must be detail oriented

Qualifications:

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 – 4 years experience
• Previous Brazing Experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• Must be able to lift parts up to 25 pounds.
• Must be comfortable using heat treatment ovens.(no experience required)

Position: Full-time/Non-Exempt. Onsite/in-person.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
