Medical Assistant

$20-24/hr based on experience

Job Description:

• The Medical Assistant will float between several specialties within the outpatient office in McLean, VA
• The MA will assist providers with patient preparation for the examination and education of patients.
• Supports other members of the clinical care team, assuring optimal best-practice patient flow; manages variable and unpredictable patient volume throughout the workday and provides clerical support and serves as backup for the Patient Services Coordinator or other team members as needed.
• Will obtain patient vital signs, EKGs, triage, and room patients.
• Handle referrals and prior authorizations.
• Must have an MA diploma and/or certification, and BLS certification.

Schedule: Must be flexible to work between the hours of 7:30 - 4:30 PM

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience working within an ambulatory care setting
• Be willing to work within 2 clinics and are requiring customer service experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and passion to grow within healthcare
• Handle about 20-30 patients per day individually.
