A boutique Facial Plastic Surgery practice in Northern VA is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to handle the front desk.

Job description:

• Answer phones and handle calls accordingly. Email/Call patients as needed.
• Work directly with the Patient Coordinator/Office Manager and Physician as well as other staff to handle patients' needs.
• Assist with scheduling office appointments as requested by patients.
• Assist with preparing surgery scheduling sheets.
• Check patients in and out of the office. Collect payments.
• Check voicemails throughout the day and return calls as necessary.
• Work with EMR.
• Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations and reimbursement claims.
• Handle all assigned tasks/ad hoc projects as assigned.

Job qualifications:

• Attention to detail is a must. Being able to stay focused throughout the work day.
• Excellent communication/phone skills.
• Professional and polite demeanor.
• Positive attitude and problem solving is a must.
• Must have medical office experience.

Working conditions:

• Employee is expected to work 9am - 5pm. Monday-Friday. Usual 40-hour week. No overtime or weekends.
• Employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Office attire is scrubs or business casual.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
